Open to everyone

What we do
We try to provide dignity for all people. Everyone that comes in fills out a simple form and no ID is required.  There is a choice of the different food items that are available each week.  If necessary, sometimes we refer them to another agency which can provide a specific request.  Every client is viewed as unique.  We try to serve our clients respectfully and with patience.

Our Clothes Closet has gently used clothing for children, men, and women. We carry some dishes, tableware, sometimes diapers, detergent, shampoo, and personal care items.

Our volunteers also make quilts for sale. The proceeds go back into the Community Service Center to buy food.

WE ARE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY PROVIDER.

What we don't do
Unfortunately, we do not deliver. We also do not give assistance for rent, travel expenses, or lodging.
Have a question? We are here to serve.

Feed the Homeless

A Ministry to reach the greater Portland area.

Feed the Homeless is a ministry that serves sack lunches to those who find themselves without a home in downtown Portland. Every third Sabbath, volunteers comes together to assemble the 100+ sack lunches and prepare them for distribution. After Sabbath School concludes, the team enjoys a lunch and then begins their trip into PDX metro area to distribute lunches to those who are hungry.  This ministry was created through the non-profit organization F.E.T.C.H.
