Beaverton Seventh-day Adventist Community Service
For those facing financial hardship in providing basic services for their family, our church offers food, clothing and other basic necessities to those in need. This active community service program is known as the Beaverton Adventist Community Services, which is a subset of the national Adventist Community Services organization.
The Beaverton Seventh-day Adventist Church Community Services has a food pantry and a free clothes closet. We are open for these services every Tuesday from 9am till 12, and again from 12:30pm till 2pm. The location is in the back of the Beaverton SDA Church in the lower parking area.
To obtain food from our food pantry one has to get an appointment for food only by calling "Care to Share" 503-591-9025. For those speaking Spanish, interpreters are available there. "Care to Share" will fax that information to us.
We try to provide dignity for everyone, and through an interview process we give the client a choice of the different food items we have available each week. We are sensitive to our clients needs. If necessary, sometimes we refer them to another agency who can better provide a specific request. Every client is viewed as unique. We try to serve our clients respectfully, with patience, and courteously.
We also sell quilts made by members of our church family. Profits from the sale of the quilts are invested back into the operation of our community services.
Check back soon for a list of the current quilts we have for sale.
We also offer resource for Emergency Preparedness and Safety information provided by the Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue!
